We are a church called to worship God and make him known in our community, region, and world. The love of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ unites us together in the family of God. Family is important to us here at JCF -- our individual families and our church family. Life in this world can be hard for anyone, at any time. We seek to hold those in our family up through any and all stages of life- struggle and sorrow as well as joy and happiness. God meant for his family to live, work, and play together. Come see how we do this- join us as the family of God.
The Joy Story
Imagine two churches close in proximity that truly shared the same vision from God. Two separate entities that were inspired to create something truly unique built on the very commandments of Christ. Love the Lord your God and Love your Neighbor as yourself. Southside Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Archdale came together in 2016, pooling their resources and their visions to create such a church. A church for everyone and anyone - a true church of love for each other and those around them. Pooling their resources was difficult with all the red tape and regulations but each person involved, every member, adult and child, knew God was leading them in this direction. Therefore, if God be for us even the gates of hell shall not stop us. This church was born, but what shall we name it? Many names were submitted but there was only one that stood for the vision God had in mind. JOY COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP
True Joy comes form Worship. Love the Lord your God echoes throughout those three little letters that form such an impressive word - JOY. Therefore, JOY had to be there.
True Community comes from truly uniting with others. Being Connected, a sense of belonging, a true community can again only stem from Loving God and Loving one another. Therefore, COMMUNITY cannot be left out.
True Fellowship is demonstrated in the entire Gospel and the early church. Much like one cannot love God without loving his creation, nor can one love his creation without loving him we cannot have JOY nor Community without true fellowship.
Thus, two churches uniquely created to love God and their neighbors had to be named JOY COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP.
Come glorify in the JOY, Grow in COMMUNITY, and go in FELLOWSHIP.
